Indian Science Monitor is a non-profit research body (Founded in 1989) by T.K.V. Rajan, an archaeologist, that promotes scientific knowledge among citizens and explores the valuable resources of the scientific community.ISM acts as a platform for research activities and inspiring presentations by commendable innovators. The Indian Science Monitor has been working relentlessly for more than two decades to identify and promote great achievers through the Sir J C Bose Memorial Award. ISM has published newsletters and books and organised seminars and workshops.
The Sir J.C. Bose Memorial Award, established by the Indian Science Monitor, has so far honoured over 60 distinguished individuals across various fields of science, technology, and the social sciences. Previous awardees include Professor Roddam Narasimha, a Fellow of the Royal Society and former professor of aerospace engineering at the esteemed Indian Institute of Science, and Dr Harish Hande, a social entrepreneur and recipient of the 2011 Ramon Magsaysay Award. Other recipients include Dr Satish Chandra, Director of NIMHANS; Dr Chitra Mandal, Director of CISR; Dr Sankar Chatterjee, a well-known palaeontologist from Texas Tech University, USA; Dr Bruce Kieler from Rice University, USA; Dr Priya Abraham, Director of the National Institute of Virology; and Professor Sultan Ismail, an ecologist, among others.

T.K.V. rajan is an archaeologist and the Founder-Director of the Indian Science Monitor. He is committed to presenting an accurate history of ancient India, emphasising facts over exaggeration. Rajan has explored sites related to the Mahabharata epic and authored the book "In Search of Krishna: An Archaeological Journey." He has also organised archaeological exhibitions on the Mahabharata in major cities across India and the USA. Since 2012, Rajan has visited the Kashmir Valley multiple times and produced two significant TV serials for Sri Sankara TV in Bangalore: "Kashmir: The Crown of India" and "In Search of Sharda Civilisation." His book "Incredible Kashmir" was launched in Chennai by the former Governor of Tamil Nadu, Sri Banwarilal Purohit. Currently, he is working on a project titled "In Search of Sunker Cities of Sangam Age Sites."
